religion of where we put so much more faith and trust in it. And like you said,“ Focus”. And what I love about this album, The King is Still the King is that it is right in the face of all that and right into the space of this pushback to it. And to remind us that we’ re part of a kingdom that is above and greater than this kingdom on earth. Any earthly kingdom. Kingdoms rise, and kingdoms fall on this earth. Governments rise, governments fall, we’ ve seen it. People rise, people fall. Yet there is one eternal kingdom, eternal hope, and that’ s what worship does. Worship reminds us every time we come together to worship, we are reminded that we belong to something greater than what we see right here. Something greater than what’ s on than this earth’ s small kingdoms.
And we’ re part of a larger kingdom. We’ re part of a greater kingdom. And that’ s what I’ m trying to say with this album The King is Still the King. I’ ve been a worship leader for over 30 years now, traveling and playing. That’ s not long in the span of eternity, but I have seen things come and go on this earth many times. And yet I love that this is the title of the album. This is the 18th record from me, and this is the title of it because I’ ve seen it and I can still try to point people to that truth, that the King is still the King and all the things we see there is one that we serve that never fails, that has no end. Everything on this earth has a beginning and an end, but He has no end, and He is the beginning and the end. He is the Alpha and Omega.
That’ s what I’ m trying to say. That’ s what I’ ve always been trying to say. That’ s what we’ re all trying to say in worship in every song really. But this album is very pointed, it’ s very focused. Like you said, there’ s a lot of intention in this record.
[ WM ] Oh yeah. I could tell when I listened to it, I thought this record is at a different level. So, we serve an infinitely faceted creator, and this album does the same, acknowledging different facets of our Creator God. This idea starts even before listening to the record. When I first saw
