will be able to avoid the audio bouncing off the floors and reverberating overhead by directing the sound only to where the audience will be seated or standing . Have you ever walked upon an outdoor concert or event and experienced the “ wall of clarity ” where you stepped into the throw of the speakers ? Five feet in one direction , the sound is muffled or muted and five feet the other way , you can really feel the music open to a full range of sound and you can hear what ’ s going on clearly . That is an experience you ’ re able to create within your room … pockets of space where the sound is not being directed .
How about this idea ? I have stood in the sound booth watching my daughter-in-law hold our new little granddaughter and I cringe inside as I feel the pounding of 98dB hitting my chest and think of how it could be affecting her . If we had a system like the EAW AC6 , I could adjust the coverage excluding the back two rows and we could simply make an announcement that anyone with sensitive hearing or young children and babies should sit in the back two rows where they can experience and enjoy the service more comfortably . We could even do this in the middle of the room . Our sanctuary is arranged so that there is a horizontal walkway midway through the audience . It could be very helpful to leave the walkway out of coverage as folks come in late and are looking for a seat .
Look at your current speaker array and where it is located . Why is it positioned and angled as it is ? ( I have seen several setups where the speaker array is positioned in the way of some of the audience ’ s view of the presentation screens ). It ’ s kind of like the tennis racket theory … the ball is going to go where the racket face is looking . The sound is coming out
of the main speaker box and it ’ s going where the speaker is looking . This is not so much the case with these AC6 speakers . You can simply place the speakers in a more inconspicuous position and then using EAW ’ s Resolution TM 2 software , direct the sound where you want it to go . You could even mount these speakers physically behind the people on the platform , which has always been a “ no-no ,” and then direct the sound to begin hitting the audience on the front row in front of the platform to reduce the possibility of feedback . That ’ s mind blowing . You may need to read that twice .
The EAW AC6 is available in black or white . $ 13,165.00
