OVERVIEW When Fender introduced the American Acoustasonic Telecaster , the buzz was massive .
As I recall the ‘ AAT ’ landing page on the Fender site got over 1,000,000 in the first day , like I said , massive . Since then Fender has introduced American Acoustasonic Stratocaster and Jazzmaster models . The Acoustasonic Player Telecaster is the latest addition to this line of shape shifting instruments .
Like the Player Plus Telecaster I glowingly reviewed a few issues back , the Acoustasonic Player Telecaster ( heretofore ‘ APT ’) is manufactured in Fender ’ s Ensenada , Mexico plant , hence the ‘ Player ’ moniker . And like the Player Plus Telecaster , this guitar delivers great craftsmanship , tone , and playability at a price point that sits nicely between Fender ’ s American-made offerings and Squires overseas instruments . While we ’ ve yet to hear about any additional Player Acoustasonics on the horizon , the fact that Fender has dedicated a section of their Ensenada plant to these instruments hints that there is more to come . Before we compare the key differences between this guitar and it ’ s American-made counterpart , let ’ s take a moment and cover the key features on this instrument .
