Charlie Watts ’ drum set matter . Ringo is same way . He wants lyric sheets . He doesn ' t want anything else but lyric sheets . And the words - what are the lyrics saying ? If more drummers … worship drummers included … they all should stop thinking so much about gospel chops . If the gospel is the word of God and you ' re playing “ Amazing Grace ” or something , or you ' re playing a song with lyrics such as , ‘ I will love you Lord with all my heart , with all my soul , with all my life ’, you know those kinds of songs … you should respect the words , respect the lyrics , and not get in the way .
