built the very first Gallagher guitar , and Don who then ran the company for 40 years after his father retired . I appreciate that what we are able to do is because of the foundation that they established . I recently told Don that my appreciation for the connection to the history continues to deepen and that every guitar that we build still has his and J . W .’ s fingerprints on it .
It has been important from the inception of this endeavor to make sure that we build guitars of the utmost quality . The pandemic brought about an unexpected time to slow down and really focus on our process and quality . The compliments from George Gruhn , dealers , artists and players reinforce our efforts to secure a reputation for a hand-crafted guitar that is of exceptional quality . To earn this kind of respect from the guitar community , we hired skilled luthiers that blend artistry , craft and science for every guitar that comes from our shop . We use some of the same equipment that J . W . built while also expanding and modernizing the process . We have established relationships with key wood suppliers to ensure that we can obtain top quality woods . It is the skill of our luthiers and our commitment to quality that brings the guitar to life , all the while preserving the heritage that began in 1965 .

What attracted me to this model is the all Mahogany build . The back , sides , top , head stock and neck are all mahogany . The body is unbound so what you have is the very natural beauty of the wood . The finish is an open-pore satin finish that also contributes to the sound of this guitar .
Upon opening the guitar case you immediately can sense a quality build . Holding it is a joy
