[ WM ] After listening to some of your songs on EAT it spurned me to go back and revisited it that record. There’ s a line in there on the song“ Beautiful Sun” that says,“ Grace is my story. Hope is my song.” I mean, what a line! But I wanted to ask you what do you think about Mezzamorphis?
[ Brooke ] That’ s so crazy because that was, I think, released around the time, at least in the first two years of me being a Christian. And so there’ s only one Christian bookstore in the town that I grew up in and it was a train ride from my house. I had little part-time jobs delivering newspapers and doing different things. you want me to go? Holy Spirit, where next?” And wherever he went, that band was so good. They could follow him on a dime. My favorite live worship band was Delirious?.
[ Brooke ] Yes. I wish that I had gotten to see them live. I didn’ t. But then of course now I get to be friends with Martin. But oh my gosh, I would’ ve loved to have seen that.
[ WM ] Back to your record. This is a very creative and definitely a forward album in my mind. What do you hope for people to get from EAT?
[ Brooke ] Yeah, I certainly don’ t expect it to be exceptionally congregationally useful.
[ WM ] Or radio-friendly?
[ Brooke ] Yeah, exactly. So I just hope that it inspires people to pick up the Word. I know for me, and even in my own family with my kids,
