Playing the GA3 at a church service the sound cut through the mix nicely and the effects provided added warmth and dimension . The other Praise team members played it to test out the effects for themselves and liked what they heard .
With a street price of $ 399.99 the Kepma K3-A series would certainly fall into the budget instrument category , compared to their higherend acoustic / electric offerings . But if I was looking to take an acoustic guitar to a youth group function or practice , I would prefer to take one of the Kepma K3-A models to my most costly acoustics .
I didn ’ t have the opportunity to play the other two models in the K3-A series but the GA3 Acoustic plays and sounds better than guitars that I have played costing three times this much . It does not include a gig bag , which I would strongly recommend for transporting it . The only negative I found with the Kepma GA3 with the AcoustiFex K-10 system was a few rough places on the back of the neck . I touched them up with super-fine steel wool and the neck felt and played like silk .
It is unlikely that you can find an acoustic / electric wooden guitar with this many features priced under $ 500 . The only other feature I would like to see Kepma add to the AcoustiFex K-10 system would be a built-in tuner , but at $ 399.99 for this much guitar I can ’ t complain .
Finish choices include Natural , Sunburst , Black and Walnut ( Dreadnought & Grand Auditorium only ). The model we tested was Walnut and it gives off that vintage instrument vibe . The K3-A Kepma guitars are a great value in a guitar with forward thinking technology that is usable for live musicians !
