Kepma Guitars is now offering the K3 series guitars with their advanced AcoustiFex electronics . The AcoustiFex K-10 system is a transducer located inside the body of the acoustic guitar that is like a small speaker bouncing the effects off of the wood . This allows the player to have Delay , Chorus , Rook Reverb or Hall Reverb emitting from the sound hole of the guitar without being plugged into an amplifier or PA system . AcoustiFex K-10 also includes Bluetooth capability so that you can stream songs and jam tracks through your guitar and play along with them . The K3-A series currently consists of the Grand Auditorium ( as tested ), Cutaway Dreadnought and Mini 36 ” ¾ acoustic guitar models .
The K3 original guitar line was Kempa ’ s entry level acoustics . But with the inclusion of the AcoustiFex K-10 rechargeable effects system these guitars are far from beginners ’ instruments . The GA3 that [ WM ] Worship Musician received has a nice Satin finish on the body and neck . The top on this model is layered Sitka Spruce with layered Mahogany on the back and sides and a Mahogany neck . It has a bound neck and body with Kepma sealed 18:1 tuners . The bridge is triple compensated , it has 20-frets , and the bridge is rosewood .
The controls for the AcoustiFex are on the upper bout of the guitar for easy access with one knob controlling modulation , one for reverb , volume , tone , and USB-C recharge input . When you plug in the guitar with a 1 / 4 ” cable the effects automatically turn on , but you
