IK Multimedia’ s new iLoud Sub targets a growing need in modern worship and production environments: accurate, controlled low-frequency monitoring in spaces where size, flexibility, and integration matter just as much as output.
The iLoud Sub is probably the most compact professional grade sub currently on the market. It measures just 9.6 inches high, 9.8 inches wide, and 11.1 inches deep, which makes it easy to place under a desk, directly in line with your nearfield monitors, or pretty much anywhere. The iLoud Sub offers flexible connectivity options to suit a variety of setups. It can be connected using balanced or unbalanced inputs for traditional studio and AV systems, or wirelessly via Bluetooth for added convenience. This versatility makes it easy to integrate the subwoofer into both professional and casual monitoring environments.
At its core, the iLoud Sub is a compact, powered subwoofer intended to extend the lowfrequency response of your nearfield monitors. It is part of IK Multimedia’ s broader iLoud ecosystem, which emphasizes calibrationdriven accuracy and small-format design. The iLoud Sub functions as a supporting element, adding depth and clarity to the low end while remaining unobtrusive in tight control rooms, edit suites, and worship tech spaces.
The front of the iLoud Sub features a clean,
minimalist design with a front-firing driver and passive radiators on the left and right sides designed to enhance low-frequency airflow and efficiency. On the back panel, users can select crossover points at 50Hz or 80Hz, or ARC X( More on that below) There’ s also a USB post for calibration and firmware updates.
Emphasizing unobtrusiveness and practicality, the design ensures the sub integrates seamlessly into control rooms or worship tech booths without drawing attention, while still delivering powerful, controlled low-frequency performance. The cabinet itself feels solid and well-constructed, and its front-firing driver allows for more flexible placement than rearported designs, especially in rooms where wall distance is limited.
Placement still matters, but the iLoud Sub because of its unique design is more forgiving compared to traditional subwoofers. Like any sub, placing it near a wall or corner will increase perceived low-end energy, while moving it farther into the room usually results in tighter, more controlled bass.
