[ Eric ] Bilingually . I think most people grow up speaking Swedish , but from when we are five or six years old , we learn to speak English as well . And we have all the TV shows and all the movies and everything . It ’ s subtitled , but it ’ s all in English . I think it ’ s natural . Everyone from young to old know how to speak English . We threw in a part of a Swedish hymn that we rewrote , “ How Great Thou Art ”, which if not the greatest worship song of all time , it ’ s up there . It ’ s actually a Swedish hymn . I mean since we ’ re going to speak Swedish in heaven , we might as just well teach people right now . ( laughs )
[ WM ] ( laughs ) That ’ s good . I ’ ve got to ask you about another song from the project . It ’ s called “ Now To God ”. Can you tell us about that one ?
[ Eric ] One of my best friends is Rueben Morgan . I ’ m sure you know Rueben , he ’ s one of the great worship leaders in our church . And I think 10 years ago , myself and Ruben and another Swedish guy , Jonas Myron , we ended up here in Stockholm . Do you know Jonas ?
[ WM ] Yes . I ’ ve interviewed him before . Had a wonderful talk with him .
[ Eric ] He ’ s , he ’ s such a sweet person . Yeah , we love him . So , we ended up here in Stockholm and we wrote a song called “ Cornerstone ”. We wrote it here in Stockholm just maybe a hundred or 200 meters from where I sit now . And so , we were joking about it because we were getting on Facebook , you get those anniversaries . And both me and Rueben were getting like 10 years anniversary on “ Cornerstone ”. At the same time , we ’ re meeting up to just write for this project or write for church . So we were joking about it , but we went into this studio in London , and we were
Cornerstone // Stockholm Worship // Take 2 like , let ’ s write another a “ Cornerstone ”. Which is to set the bar a little bit higher , I think .
But again , we wanted this whole project to be like a hundred percent Scripture based . And I think Jonatan has mentioned in that as well , because we believe Scripture faith is going to come by hearing and hearing by the Word of God . Romans chapter 10:17 says so . So , we asked ourselves , “ What does the church need to sing post Covid ?” You know , we ’ ve been restricted , especially , I mean here in Sweden … Europe , it was crazy , even Australia , clearly to a greater extent . They were allowed at maximum two people in the room . And it was craziness . So , we wanted to just throw faith into the church . We took the Scripture from Ephesians chapter 3 verse 20 , and I think it is one of the most quoted scriptures in the Bible . “ Now , the God who ’ s able to do more than we can ever even think , ask or imagine …”
We wrote a chorus about that now that God is able to do much more . And then that has been such an anthem for our church , not only
