[ Steve ] Oh man, it’ s just... The Venn diagram is pretty much all overlaps. I think one of the reasons I like being at a university, especially a Christian university is because I’ m working with creative students who are pursuing creative arts. In fact, three of our band members on stage tonight with me graduated from Liscomb’ s music program. But we’ re able to talk very freely about how to integrate your faith and your art. And it’ s my belief that that’ s the best place an artist can be. So yeah, I like to think that it all overlaps and that there’ s no reason to bifurcate the two.
You know, I don’ t exclusively write Christian songs and never have, but as Charlie Peacock would say,“ It’ s all God’ s kingdom” and yeah, there’ s no reason to make distinctions.
[ WM ] Got it. So, we want to encourage Christians to finish their walk well, right up to their last breath. What advice do you have for fellow believers and sisters here in the Lord?
[ Steve ] Yeah. One of the saddest things to me is friends who for some reason think they don’ t need a church fellowship anymore. I don’ t know how that works. I don’ t see how it works. I would argue that it doesn’ t work.
[ WM ] Yeah. There are folks who think that, and I would argue that is it doesn’ t work either.
[ Steve ] Right. I don’ t think it does. So that’ s a big one is just staying as a part of a church fellowship and being part of a community. Yeah. We’ re not meant to do this on our own.
[ WM ] Thank you so much Steve for giving of your time to us again. You are in the“ Friend for Life” Club.
[ Steve ] Thank you Bruce for what you do …
