neck to be more comfortable to chord with , especially with bar chords . Martin adjusted the string spacing on the X Series and you can tell the difference from older models compared to this . The sandwich board necks of the past X Series never appealed to me , so I was pleased to see Martin updated it with a solid wood neck now . laying in under your voice while singing instead of competing with it like a full-size dreadnaught shaped guitar . The Satin Machine heads are a nice touch and the rounded edges on the body make playing longer more comfortable . The Martin E-1 electronics are simple and straight forward and having the built-in tuner in the sound hole is extremely convenient .
my mind about playing this body style and for only $ 699 this is a great value on an acoustic / electric guitar that includes a gig bag and has a built-in tuner with awesome upgrades . Nice job team Martin !
