The Worship Musician magazine crew was fortunate enough to attend the Martin Guitars opening Media event at the NAMM show in Anaheim , CA earlier this year . Of all the new models and Martin creations launching in 2024 the R & D team was most excited about how they modernized the Martin X Series line . Previously the X Series guitars have been aimed at musicians on a budget that still want the Martin name and quality but not the higher end costs . WM received the new 000-X2E ( natural top ) to test out . In the past I have not been a big fan of this 000-14 Fret Body Shape and leaned more towards Martin ’ s traditional dreadnaught shapes . The Martin 000-X2E is changing my mind .
The Spruce top with hand-rubbed satin finish feels great under your hands and looks classy . The Brazilian Rosewood HPL ( High Pressure Laminate ) was used for the back and sides and doesn ’ t look cheap . I found the thinner beveled
