inviting brothers and sisters to join in , just praising God ' s name . And then you did another video version with the Maverick City Music folks in front of a limited live audience . What was that like ?
[ Crowder ] Well , now for that one that we captured , it felt like we were still in the middle of 2020 . We were at Passion Conference 2021 . And you know , if you rewind the year prior we were ( as 2020 dawned ) in the Mercedes- Benz stadium with 60,000 college students with Hillsong United playing as fireworks went off . I ' m like 2020 is going to be the best year ! And here we were a year later at the Passion Conference and it ' s online .
And so I was with people onstage . It was great to be with the band , but you know , everybody ' s

getting tested . Everybody ' s made sure they ' re coming in the door to pull off the music . We know we ' re in a pretty safe environment . Still , we ' ve got to social distance from one another . It all felt like , “ Man , we ' re not back yet .” And in the in a room that holds 3,000 , there might ' ve been a 100 to 200 or so . No , it just felt like , “ Gosh , I am so over this , I ' m so already through . We are not made for this ”.
But over 700,000 were connected to the Passion Conference on-line , which was the biggest Passion conference ever ! So it ' s one of those deals where you ' re like in the middle of what looked bleak and there was God ' s activity that exceeded it . And then at the end of it , you ' re like , man , that was actually pretty great . It ' s like greater than I thought it would ever be . That ' s pretty great .
So yeah , there is one phrase that ' s always been with me for my whole time doing this music stuff … “ the soul can dance in a body that ' s still ”. Because I think as a person on stage , you ' re trying to get immediate feedback , that half the time it ' s non-verbal . And if you see somebody standing there staring at you with their arms crossed or something , and you ' re like , “ I ' m terrible at my job ”. ( laughing ) So I
