Kingdom Culture Worship ( KCW ) states , “ We are passionate about glorifying God , people coming to know Him personally , and seeing the kingdom come through our times of corporate worship and recorded songs . Our desire is that all who hear our songs would experience the presence of God personally , wherever they are listening from .” I interviewed Brett , Jessie-Rose , and Carly , via Zoom , all are members of KCW . They hail from a single campus church called King Culture Church in Brisbane , Australia .
[ Alex ] Hello there , and it ’ s so very nice to meet you !
[ KCW ] Hello ! ( All )
[ WM ] Please introduce yourselves individually and then we ’ ll get to it .
[ Brett ] My name ’ s Brett Shaw , I ’ m a part of the band and have produced all of the albums .
[ Jessie-Rose ] I ’ m Jessie-Rose , so I ’ ve been a part of this since the start actually . It was just a dream . I was part of planting the church that our band has come out of . And then I started the worship team back when it was just a keyboard . It was just me and a keyboard and a Cajon box drum . It ’ s been super fun to be a part of building one , a local worship team , and then also the band out of that as well .
[ Carly ] My name ’ s Carly and I ’ m fairly new to KCW . I joined the church probably four years ago , started interning under Jesse Rose and then from there just started writing songs and then got invited to be on the album . And since then we ’ ve just kept writing songs and kept releasing things .
[ WM ] It ’ s a privilege for me to meet you all and I send along greetings from some fellow Australians , David Smallbone , and his family Rebecca St . James and For King and Country .
[ All ] That ’ s awesome !

I think this latest project we ’ ve probably substituted in more than before , utilizing people from the team . We do want it to feel connected to the local worship team , so maybe I think we would be different to I guess a band like Hillsong United where it was quite like , “ This is the band and that ’ s that ”. I think we probably want to be a little bit more like the expression of our local church , but obviously there are still two teams . There is a higher level of expectation on those who are playing for albums . So , it ’ s not necessarily if you ’ re on the worship team , you ’ ll be on projects . But yeah , I think that ’ s a yep .
[ WM ] Because I have talked to worship leaders from some very large churches that
