A . has a huge number of features , portability and incredible full range sound with bottom end . It did an excellent job of projection with all instruments , music tracks , and microphones with no distortion . Plus , it is half the weight and size of other comparable systems that don ’ t sound as clear . My only hope is that Positive Grid will release a gig bag to protect it and maybe one that will carry the included AC to DC power adapter and USB C cable . Is it a smart amp or a smart P . A .? You decide . But I would say both and a smart purchase for multiple sound reinforcement purposes ! The Spark App makes everything easier to adjust and tweak from your smart device and you can attach your smart phone or iPad to your microphone stand as your control center . Easy !

Obviously , the Spark EDGE would be perfect for solo or duo performances that require a minimum of two microphones and two instrument inputs . But there are many more options where the EDGE can be of use such as in a monitor situation , youth retreats , summer camps , recording , church events , announcements , background music or for home practice . Since we got the Spark EDGE in office it has been used to test and demo multiple guitars , pedals , bass guitars , microphones and headphones because it has all of the connections in one place and sounds great . Bluetooth and Wi-Fi pairing and connectivity were easy .
The biggest surprise was how loud the Spark EDGE is . Sure , it has 65 watts , but this device can achieve much more volume than traditional smaller amps and P . A . systems we have reviewed in the past . It wouldn ’ t fill an entire sanctuary , unless you ran the outputs to a larger system , but it would easily fill a youth room or church events space .
