The Spark EDGE is an entirely new and portable approach from Positive Grid aimed at merging a multi-purpose amplifier and a portable PA system into a one size efficient package .
Pictures and videos do not do the Spark EDGE justice . We have tested the EDGE with guitars ( acoustic & electric ), bass guitars , microphones , keyboards and jam tracks . It has handled all of them with no issues . Thanks to the low weight ( under 14lbs ) and compact size 9.44 ” x 9.52 ” x 13.11 ” the EDGE is easy to transport or store in your backseat , floorboard or trunk . Amp / P . A . that has 4 channels ( 2 with XLR & ¼ ” and 2 with ¼ ” inputs only ). It is driven by 65 watts of power with a 6.5 ” custom woofer and a 1 ” custom horn tweeter with bass ports at the bottom of the cabinet .
Each channel has its own dedicated volume along with 8 presets for channels 1 and 2 . The back panel of the EDGE houses a 3-band EQ and master volume along with MIDI and USB-C connectivity . If you purchase the optional battery for $ 79 there is a compartment for that as well .
EDGE is also loaded with an onboard looper and Spark AI . As with other Positive Grid devices , what really expands the capability of the EDGE is the free Spark App . The difference is that besides the built-in 36 amps and 50
