Acoustic Guitar ( s ): Martin guitars are my preference live and in-studio . My Dad ’ s 1981 D-18 is my favorite acoustic I have played ! No pickups or anything to disturb the resonance of the body !
I track with a Martin Single-Cut Dreadnought in my studio .
Electric Guitar ( s ): 2016 Veritas Custom Portlander . My main workhorse guitar for some years - loaded currently with Lollar El Rayo ’ s pick-ups and played on multiple Red Rocks Worship records .
1969 Vintage Gibson 335 Loaded with original humbuckers , some new hardware : tuning pegs and bridge . One of my favorite guitars to play , but barely leaves the studio , traveling with it is a little sketchy :)
1999 Gretsch Sparkle Jet Loaded with DeArmond Dynasonic pickups . A great choice for chill intimate worship moments . My perfect sparkle jet vibe … roller bridge with Bigsby , small headstock , Dyna sonics ...
2000 ’ s-Era Fender Stratocaster ( Mexico ) Loaded with Porter Pickups S90s . Piano and violin were my first instruments , but this was my very first electric guitar from middle school days - I still have it . I have changed the pick-ups , but it has been a long-suffering servant of worship music in the church .
90 ’ s Eric Clapton Signature Strat ( Lace Sensor pick-ups ) A current favorite for Strat tones . Mid boost circuit and on-board preamp are legendary .
2024 Veritas 503 Pro Series Loaded with Bearcat pick-ups . My most recent acquisition on a trip to Nashville - a return to the Bearcat sound for me from 2018-2021 ! I am excited about playing this for years to come . A quality build and instrument ! I can ’ t recommend Casey and the whole Veritas Shop team in Mt . Pleasant , Tennessee enough !
