can be bulky sometimes to fit quite right while you are hanging out . With the Puddle Jumper in hand you can practice , noodle or build your scale chops while watching the football game .
As you would imagine with a smaller body you would have nice mids and high ’ s for tones . Your bass isn ’ t going to be huge like your dreadnought or jumbo guitar , but I did get a pleasant tonal mix when strumming all six strings .
The PJ410N Puddle Jumper features a solid Sitka spruce top with layered African mahogany sides / back … really nice quality components through and through actually .
The claim that this guitar assembles in 20 seconds is true and the patented detachable neck system is guaranteed for life . Two things you need to know . There is a slip of paper that reminds you to fully tighten the bolt knob on the back to bring the correct string height into play ( your guitar will even be close to in tune when popping back on the neck ), and when using a vibration tuner ( like my trusty Snark ) I found that with a smaller headstock the tuners are closer together , so you have to fiddle with it a bit to clamp on . Once the tuner is in place it works fine .
A quality carry-on backpack is included and is a design feat in itself . The exterior pouch will hold my laptop and the utility pocket will hold the power brick and cord to the laptop as well . I can ’ t tell you how many business trips I have been on that I wished I had a guitar with me to play at the hotel or AirBnB I was staying at . If you are traveling by air , the backpack even fits under most airline seats . How cool is that ? If you have ever been on a Puddle Jumper airplane flight ( those are usually the smaller planes with less cargo and overhead room ) you know how nice it is to have the right size baggage .
This PJ410N Puddle Jumper guitar is just the right size !
