[ Phillip ] I have written a book on fasting for this generation and for the time we ’ re in , to deal with the pressure and stress of this age we ’ re in . As we speak it is being edited right now ! The subject of fasting to some sounds boring , but it is very dear to my heart and I believe it will strengthen believers that choose to use this great spiritual weapon that God has given us .
Most in the church get very little practical teaching on this subject , if they do it ’ s maybe one sermon late December for the start of the new year and it ’ s about cutting out Netflix or fasting one meal for a few days . That is not Biblical fasting , that is behavior modification . This book will help you unlock hidden power and realize that you do not fast for God ’ s hand to move , you fast for His heart - to walk in a place of victory ! It ’ s not some Old Testament thing , it ’ s a spiritual weapon that worked in the New Testament and will continue to work in our everyday lives . Even the world is catching on to the power of fasting with intermittent fasting diets and the results they are getting for health . How much more if as believers we embrace the spiritual and healing truths of fasting ?

Although I love leading worship for hours , it ’ s my responsibility to respect the rules of the house . I believe in the gifts of the Spirit , but if a church does not believe in it , I will not shout in tongues in the microphone . I will respect the house I am in .
I have done this often and as a result ( because I respect the rules of the house ) I see God do miracles . And the next time I come , I get to do whatever I want ( within reason ). By respecting the rules of the house , you become like family , and you will always feel like you ’ re at home . Many times before I minister I ask the pastor what is permitted and what is not permitted . I respect the rules of the house all the way from dress code to doctrine , like my daddy taught me .
[ WM ] I heard that you taught yourself to sing your songs in Spanish so you can lead worship in South America . Again , that is remarkable . We hear that the hunger for worship in Latin America is strong . What did you find there ?
[ Phillip ] I haven ’ t got to go to Latin America as of yet , I did have an invitation to South America to Columbia , and learned songs in Spanish , but the trip got cancelled . A similar language to
