KEY FEATURES
• A Purpose-Built Condenser Microphone That Challenges Tradition
• Balanced frequency response that minimizes harsh upper mids while retaining clarity.
• Excellent transient response preserves pick attack and note definition without sounding brittle.
• Full, controlled low end that adds weight without becoming muddy.
• Minimal EQ required, allowing recorded tracks to sit naturally in the mix.
• Single-microphone simplicity eliminates phase issues common with multi-mic cabinet setups.
• Consistent placement delivers repeatable results from session to session.
• High SPL capability easily handles loud tube amplifiers without distortion.

For decades, recording an electric guitar cabinet has almost always begun with a familiar recipe: place a Shure SM57 somewhere near the edge of the dust cap, adjust by fractions of an inch until the harshness subsides, then, if you want a larger, more dimensional sound, add a ribbon microphone or perhaps a Sennheiser MD 421. The result can be outstanding, but it also introduces additional stands, preamps, phase alignment, and endless experimentation.
Roswell Pro Audio believes there is a better way. The company’ s Cab Mic is unapologetically specialized. Rather than attempting to be another“ Swiss Army knife” large-diaphragm condenser microphone, it was engineered from the ground up to solve one specific problem: capturing an electric guitar cabinet accurately with a single microphone.
The Roswell Cab Mic is a cardioid largediaphragm condenser microphone built around a custom 34 mm capsule. Unlike many condenser microphones that emphasize uppermidrange presence and airy top end, Roswell intentionally voiced this microphone more like a quality ribbon microphone while preserving the transient response and detail expected from a condenser mic. The company describes the concept as combining the warmth of a ribbon mic, the impact of a dynamic mic, and the clarity of a condenser microphone.
Construction follows Roswell’ s established philosophy. Every microphone is hand-built, tuned, tested, and burned in at the company’ s California facility. The body is compact and lightweight compared to many large-diaphragm condensers, making placement significantly
