Meet Keith Abbott , the Technical Director of Christ Community Church in Tucson , Arizona . We are going to pepper him with some questions as well as take a look at the gear they are using at their facility .
[ WM ] Keith , some basic overview questions first . How many does your main auditorium seat ? How many services do you hold on a Sunday ?
The tech teams are usually heavy crossover from my main service team / s , depending on who is serving in the main services on Sundays .
[ WM ] On your website you have a specific page for the Tech Team ministries where you state that folks with tech experience are welcome to join , but you also welcome inexperienced people who simply have a desire to learn . It is so well done . Here is a link to that .
[ Keith Abbott ] Our main Worship Center has a seating capacity of 1,200 , with two services Sunday mornings .
[ WM ] Do you have a separate Youth worship service and tech team ? How many youth does that usually run ?
[ Keith ] We do ! High School and Middle School combined is usually about a 100 youth on a given Sunday , over in our Oasis Center .
Tell us how the on-boarding of volunteers works there at CCC ?
[ Keith ] Thank you ! Generally , this looks like either me or one of my leads being approached or emailed by an interested party ( though we do some outreach and campaigning from time to time , too ). From there we find out their level of experience , their desired involvement , and when they can start ! We then have them shadow in the desired position for Wednesday

night rehearsals and Sunday morning service sets until we see they are becoming more familiar and comfortable with the position , then we begin gradually turning over the reins till they are flying on their own .
