Hosa is a household name in the music industry . “ Hosatech ” is the official company name , and it has been manufacturing since the mid-1980s . Their cables were always affordable , and I bought numerous snakes years ago for my studio and had no complaints . They always seemed to work fine . Surprisingly , I discovered a whole different Hosa this past Winter Namm . A company that still makes affordable cables but also has high-end professional cables and even Audiophile cables . Little did I know that they have been making Hi-end cables for decades . For this review , I ’ m building a small pedalboard for flying gigs . I will be using all HOSA Pro patch cables with REAN jacks . The guitar cables will also be Hosa Edge with Original Neutrik connectors . These cables are hand wired in Buena Park , California . The connectors are made in tiny Liechtenstein , located next to the Swiss Alps .
OUT OF THE BOX : Hosa Guitar cables come rolled up with a sleeve for hanging display . They come in varying lengths , from 5 to 30 feet long . Hosa patch cables come in hangable cardboard and plastic packaging . There are three primary ranges of guitar cables : Hosa Standard , Hosa Pro , and Hosa Edge . These are their good-better-best offerings . The patch cables come in 6,12 , and 18-inch lengths . Edge and Pro versions have 20 AWG Oxygen-Free-Copper ( OFC ), and Standard Version has 22-24 AWG OFC . This makes for a clean sound . FYI : Hosa also has a
