I was delighted to interview some of the Passion team for this month’ s feature. Passion Music, and it’ s related sixstepsrecords, are an established powerhouse of songs, music, and impactful events focusing on God-breathed music and changed lives among college students and young adults. Their new live album recorded at Passion 2026, Just That Good, is newly released and available everywhere.
[ Alex ] It’ s so great to visit with y’ all today! Thanks so much for this time. Let me begin by saying that as a former Wacoan, I can truly report that Passion has remained very true to its origins on the Baylor University campus. Waco is a lot more than tv’ s Fixer Upper, the home of Dr Pepper and Word Records, midway between Dallas and Austin, and the Branch Davidian standoff. Waco, Texas, is the flashpoint for the Passion Movement. What say you?
[ Kristian Stanfill ] It continues to be true today, just like at Baylor more than 30 years ago, that university students stand at a crossroads of life. They are faced with many new challenges, ways of thinking, and living. It’ s in this transformative and pivotal moment that Passion continues to lift up Jesus as the way, the truth, and the life! College students, like most of humanity, are asking,“ Why am I here? What is my purpose?” We happily and humbly speak up to answer,“ You were made by God and for God. To live for His glory in your lifetime. This is where true joy and purpose are found!” After all these years this message hasn’ t lost any of its power. We are so happy to play a small role in such a timeless and eternal story.
[ Brett Younker ] Yes! The Passion Movement has been connected to what God is doing in university students since day one. For just about 30 years, God continues to invite young adults into this idea that your life can count for what matters most, the glory of God. What Jesus is doing in this generation of young adults is really special. There is a hunger for
