as I feel like our readers got the inside scoop right when you went“ live”. That was an honor for us. How has the feedback been so far?
[ Sean ] It’ s funny – it took about a year from start to finish, as I ordered the board enclosure itself in August of 23’, shot the first episode in April 24’ and shot the last episode in mid-November – so I was in a darkened room just talking to myself for a very long time.( laughs) As it went on and got bigger and bigger I got more and more worried about delivering a massive turkey, but the response has been super gratifying. The comments on the videos on YouTube have been pretty much universally positive, and I’ ve gotten messages, emails and texts from all sorts of folks telling me how much they loved it and how they’ ve gotten so many new ideas for their own pedalboard builds. There are all sorts of oddball-yet-practical things in there, so it’ s been a nice thing to see. When you sit back and realize that this gargantuan thing you envisioned with 27 powered devices, six power supplies, 16 reorderable audio loops and two separate MIDI controllers is finally finished and people really dug coming along for the ride, it feels like the nights and weekends were worth it.
[ WM ] Well I believe your efforts here will bear good fruit for all involved. Thank you again for working so closely with us Sean!
[ Sean ] Absolutely! Thanks for being interested – we appreciate it!
[ WM ] Where can our readers find the episodes? Can you share the links here with us?
[ Sean ] You bet – there are nine episodes in the series, and we’ ve created a playlist on YouTube for them. Each episode has a Table of Contents in the description, so if you want to watch the whole thing you can, or you can cherry pick to find your favorite concepts or subjects if you’ re a more experienced person. The link for the playlist can be found here. 40 April 2025 Subscribe for Free...
