about to do that song ?
[ Brett ] ( laughs ) It was during the last final morning of Passion . We came back for a final morning session . And we all had a sense that those last mornings God just kind of tends to pour out . We ’ re all spiritually in such a different place than when we came in . And it is funny , Kristian and I were walking out of prayer that morning and Kristian just asked Charlie ( Hall ), “ Hey , when you were leading at Passion , what would you think about ? He says , “ I would just ride the river of God ”. And so we were like , “ Yeah , that sounds great , Charlie ”. And so we were moving through the set and we were singing , “ Cry Out .” We got to that moment in the set and it just moved us into this throne room space .
We had two other songs coming after that that we had planned to do . “ How Great Is Your Name ” and “ No Body ” were the other two songs that were on the set list , but Kristian just had a sense from the Lord once we got to “ Cry Out .” At the end of that , the Lord wanted us to wait , and then Kristian called to our MD and said , “ Hey , just follow me ”. And he started singing “ Agnus Dei ”. And Kristian was obedient and just listening to the leading of the Holy Spirit in that moment . And the band kind of played and facilitated and just did a wonderful job . And then it came to a moment , obviously this track that you ’ re referring to , is 20 minutes long , it ’ s the last track on the album .
And we were not planning on playing this song at the conference . It wasn ’ t on the set list , and there were no conversations about it . I love it . And it was one of the most remarkable moments that I have experienced ever in worship as a worshiper and as a worship leader . And I ’ ve been in really powerful moments with God , with people , but never in a space with 55,000 . But God was so present , so real , and all the worship leaders were faced down on their knees . There was a moment where the band wasn ’ t playing , the whole stadium was just singing . And when you ’ re in a stadium , the sound is all over the place . It was just wave upon wave of adoration for Jesus , and it was remarkable . It was just mind blowing . And I think it was one of those moments , again , one of those Ebenezer milestone moments .
