Tuning drums can certainly be a chore , especially for a non-drummer like myself . I own and I can use a TuneBot , and it does work well , but it takes quite a bit of my time . One of the more difficult aspects is that of keeping an even pressure with the lugs all the way around the drumhead .
I ’ m the tech director for my church , so my job is to make sure everything is ready for the upcoming services . Periodically , that includes changing drumheads and keeping them tuned . Last year , I had a funeral that , you could say , got a little out of hand … I had no idea they were planning to set up an entire band for the service . I was expecting the standard piano and speaker mic . The guy who climbed into our drum enclosure decided on his own to tune our snare up to more like a piccolo snare . It literally took months before we had it back to sounding like normal ! If I had this DialTune snare back then , the situation would not have been such a problem .
Do you have different drummers who play each week ? How about different drummers playing different services every Sunday ? We have just made a major transition at our church as we have a brand-new senior pastor . We had been meeting in two simultaneous services with a blended service in one venue and a contemporary service in another venue . 114 April 2024 Subscribe for Free ...
