But sometimes an electric guitar is really what is needed to drive the message home ! Guild ’ s new Surfliner HH has the features of a much more expensive electric guitar in a feature filled economical package .
When the instrument first arrived , we were surprised by the solid construction of the guitar and vintage overtones with the control knobs and pickups . Guild acoustic guitars have been a go-to for studio musicians and stage performers since the 1960 ’ s . Although they didn ’ t dominate the market as some other brands did , they still maintained a consistent musical following that continues today .
The new Surfliner HH is a solid body electric guitar featuring two HB-2 humbucker pickups , volume and tone controls and top mounted rocker switches for pickup selection . The neck is solid maple with a satin finish , C shape and tilted back headstock with six in-line vintage style tuners . The body is made of popular , and the asymmetrical shape is comfortable standing or sitting . Increased sustain is achieved by the string through body design over a Tune-o-matic bridge for better intonation .
