GUITARIST EMILY PERRY

[ WM ] Tell us about how you got started playing guitar ?
[ Emily Perry ] I was always interested in music and grew up playing piano . Playing guitar started to interest me when I became involved in my youth group . We had a new worship leader join the team and he led from guitar . After he left for college , we needed a guitar player and I wanted to step up and try it .

[ WM ] Do you also play outside the church ? If so , tell us about your other guitar playing roles .
[ Emily ] I mostly play in church now , but I ’ ve also played with pop artists like Brooke Simpson and Maddison Lopez .
[ WM ] Do you have a home studio setup ? If you do , what are you using to record with ? ProTools ? Plug-ins ? Tell us about your studio .
[ Emily ] I do a lot of things in Ableton or Logic . My guitar tracking setup is fairly simple . I use a Universal Audio Volt 4 and plug my board into
