NEW MUSIC
AUSTIN AND LINDSEY ADAMEC Sounds of the House ( Vol 2 ) already getting plenty of attention in the CCM world . This Celtic-esque song of victory is a glorious proclamation of the finished work of Christ that would fit well in any Easter Sunday setlist .
“ All Sufficient Merit ” is a deep poetic journey into Jesus ’ ultimate sacrifice on the cross . With a distinctly hymn-like feel , Shane Barnard ’ s voice triumphantly declares the finishing work of the cross when he sings : “ It is done , it is finished , no more debit I owe . Paid in full , all sufficient merit now my own ”.
“ Unto Him ” is a vertical worship anthem of hopeful encouragement as we are reminded that there is hope in all things because of the love of Jesus and “ Tell The Story ” is a melodically gorgeous ballad whose lyrics are taken directly from Psalm 8 . The chorus is a call to all of creation to rise up and tell the story of who Jesus is and what He has done in our lives .
I have always been a Shane and Shane fan and I was not disappointed in the least by this latest album . These songs are robust with Biblical truth and scripture while at the same time musically palatable and for the most part , easy to learn and worship along with . Shane Everett and Shane Barnard continue to showcase their sincere hearts for God through their music and this collection is chock full of hope and encouragement for the soul .

Husband and wife worship duo , Austin and Lindsey Adamec are worship pastors who after pursuing careers in music artistry in Nashville , felt God calling them back to their homeland of Jacksonville , Florida . While in Florida , the Adamec ’ s began a house church in their home before moving to “ do ” church in a Harley Davidson shop in town .
Their 2nd full length album , Sounds of the House ( Vol 2 ) is a nice collection of original songs with a definite southern pop / Americana flavor . Thematically , the album jumps around a bit touching on God ’ s faithfulness , hope in the midst of fear and the might and wonder of our God .
The opening track , “ Every Single Time ,” opens with rhythmic piano arpeggios and ethereal guitars highlight this mid-tempo vertical worship
song about the never-ending faithfulness of our God .
Lindsey ’ s shimmering soprano mixed with a southern rock vibe makes “ I Got A Light ” stand out as she declares how the light of Jesus can overcome any darkness that we may face .
“ Speak Now ( Samuel ’ s Prayer )” is a creative foray into the art of listening for God ’ s voice taken straight from 1 Samuel 3 . The subtle acoustic guitar work mixed with Austin ’ s throaty tenor gives this song an almost meditative quality that will have you resting the arms of Jesus listening to His voice .
“ Good Plans ” is probably the most Sunday morning ready song on the album with a chorus that is singable and will stick in your heart long after you ’ re done listening . Lyrically , the offering reminds the worshiper that God is for us in all things and that His plans are always for our good .
Overall , there were some nice moments on this sophomore offering from the Adamec duo . The times of spontaneous worship were nice but a bit overdone here and without those tracks , this is really an enhanced EP with only seven total songs . I know a lot of churches do spontaneous worship and I think that ’ s great , but I would have appreciated a few more newly penned songs .
