That’s why when people started saying things
like, “You could do a lot better if you shortened
those songs for the radio”. I thought, sure, if my
goal was to sell more albums or have people
sing our songs more, but that just wasn’t our
goal, so why would I shorten a song?
Still to this day my favorite testimony is when
people say, “I don’t know what it is, but when I
put your worship on I encounter God.” I don’t
care if it’s our song or not, that’s all I want. That
right there is all I want, for their hearts to be
awakened to Him. It definitely made decisions
easier for us. When things started getting
bigger… it definitely makes decisions easier
when we realize what we want.
[WM] Tell me how it started with Chris and
with Kim?
[Banning] They’re both great stories. When
I started youth ministering Chris was twelve, in
middle school. He was in my wedding when he
was fourteen! He was like my first ever spiritual
