would want to jump on board, and he said that
he would be happy to come out on the tour and
play. So since then, Spence and I have gotten
really close and we’ve done a bunch of shows
together and he’s produced every song that I
have right now.
Then from meeting Spence, that lead me to
meeting Jemmuel Magtibay or as we like to
call him, Jem. Spence and Jem had been
conversing through a Facebook group called
Gear Talk Praise & Worship and he told Spence
that he was coming over to the United States
to do music. He came at such a great time
because we were looking for a bass player
for the summer tour and that’s how we got in
contact. The tour went so well and Spence,
Jem and I are such a great dynamic together.
Spence and Jem are my core group. Eventually
we’ll add more people but Spence and Jem
double at many other things beyond playing
instruments and they are jacks of all trades and
masters at all of them. They’re very good at
everything they do. Hiring Jem is like hiring five
Cade, Spence, and Jem
other things because he plays guitar as his main
instrument, but he also plays bass and does
Social Media work and all these things for us.
Hiring Spence is also the same way, because
he plays all these instruments and also makes
films. In fact, he filmed, directed and edited my
latest music video alongside with Jem. Beyond
that, they’re great friends.
[WM] What about your guitars, amps and
pedals? What are you using now?
[Cade] So my main electric guitars I’m using
are Teye guitars and the main model I use is
the Apache. I found out about these guitars
through Rich Robinson from The Black Crows
when I saw them live in 2013. I wanted to find
one so I researched those guitars on-line. Long
story short, in 2014 I won a guitar competition
for the Dallas International Guitar Festival and I
saw that there was a Teye guitars booth there.
So, when I found them, I met Teye himself, who
is from Spain. He hand-makes these special
guitars
and
they’re
absolutely
gorgeous.
