[WM] Your new single is “Child of Love”. It’s an infectious blend of Gospel and classic rock. What can you tell us about this tune? Child of Love [Franni] For me, I feel a lot of hesitation when I go to write with the guys in this band because they’re such strong and successful writers who have been doing it for a lot longer than I have. So, I’ve felt a lot of fear in my heart and a lot of resistance when I go to write. I love to sing, that comes easy to me. When we went to write “Child of Love” it just felt like I went back to that childlike place in my heart where I used to write like I didn’t care if anyone was listening or watching, I just did it because I truly loved it. That’s kind of what the writing of this song felt like with everybody. It felt like we were kids again. It’s cool that this song is called “Child of Love”. It reminds us that our identity is in God, who is love, and that there is no fear in love. So, when we live in that love, we’re free of the intimidation of not being enough, because love is enough. I think that song has taken on a deeper meaning for me, even though its super fun and lighthearted and so fun to play live, though we haven’t been able to do that but a couple of times. I also love that it has such deep meaning to it, and it’s cool to watch that unfold. I’ve been super excited about it and I hope that its been ministering to peoples hearts. [WM] In addition to great songs from your EPs, there are so many fabulous new songs on this project. “Cages” and “Peace” come to mind. “Peace” was released a bit earlier this year by Bethel Music and Franni, your performance is stunning. I love the triplet feel on “You Are Heaven”, and “If All I Had Was Christ” is an amazing new anthem for worship leaders and the worshiping community to adapt into Sunday morning services. Tell us about any of Peace these wonderful new songs. [Martin] Thank you so much for saying that. I would say for me, with “You are Heaven”, it’s kind of an interesting song because typically when we think of our relationship with God we often forget, and maybe I’m just speaking for myself here, but we forget the romance, and the parts of His love that are romantic. Because there is such a reverence and He is our Lord and our Savior and all of these things, the fact that He is almost like our lover is just an amazing thought, that He is immensely in love with us. So when we wrote the song, and it was almost a love song to Him and all of the 8 August 2020 Subscribe for Free...
