inspiration?
[Ed] There have been many through the
years. I am a bit of a sucker for a lot of the 70’s
music. That’s the music I was born into. I am so
thankful for the many artists that have poured
their hearts and souls into creating great music.
But to name a few – Jim Croce’s Photographs
and Memories, Stevie Wonder’s Songs in the
Key of Life, Paul Simon’s Graceland - ah - so
hard to narrow it down!
[WM] How do you settle production differences
in project vision, performance, mixing and
mastering, with record labels and artists, both
in pre and post-production? As a producer,
explain the role of clear communication and
understanding at the initial stages.
[Ed] I think the first step in that is working with
like-minded people who have mutual respect for
