one another. And I have had the great privilege
of working with some amazing artists and
labels. Iron sharpens iron and I know I am much
better at what I do when I get to collaborate
with great minds. I’ve also learned to hold
things fairly loosely and not make everything a
hill to die on. I feel like if something is supposed
to be there the music usually makes it pretty
obvious what it wants to be. And ultimately, I
think the artists heart is so important to listen
to. They are the ones carrying the vision and
the torch around singing these songs. I feel like
my job as a producer is to honor that vision and
see how I can best help them achieve that.
[WM] What do you consider your greatest
accomplishment in production, from the initial
demos to the final outcome?
[Ed] I may answer this more generally… I
would say that I have a real passion for songs
and seeing songs achieve their destiny both in
