about giving honor to the God that we serve, but also to help other people who are on the journey. Because we are all humans, life has its seasons, and through its ups and downs I think we have a faith that we can hold onto when being encouraged through that. I think we believe that would be the thing that is resonating with people, and even sharing some of those figures it blows us away, that so many people are connecting with what we do. At the same time, we get so excited about it, because that’s the reason we do it… to help people. [WM] Matt, you mentioned songs. You’re getting ready to hit the road again, and given the number of amazing songs that are now in the United catalog, how do you approach which songs you’re doing to do? Is there a master tour list that you craft a set from each night? [Matt] I know Joel’s brain never switches off, so he’s always thinking through what songs we’re going to do. With a new album out, and Wonder, an album that we didn’t have the chance to properly tour, we’re playing a bunch of those songs. And then just hitting old songs that we know people love, but also ones that speak about who we are in our journey. I think for us the goal is always to be as authentic and real as we can about who we are and what we’re about. I think the night will reflect that. Hopefully we’re fun and we create an atmosphere of faith. People can walk into whatever place that we might be in and they might be somewhere at that specific time that they don’t want to be (in their own journey). But that they leave knowing that God loves them and their life can be everything and more – all that they hoped it would be.
