[WM] One of the many things I loved about saying things. that. I’m just proud of them, and I would love the movie was the way it pointed out that young to be even more a part of their process, but I adults are frequently dealing with problems that I just think they’re fostering something special, know that they’re in great hands. They’re just are not of their doing. You guys did a great and again I think what they’re doing is like slamming it, I’m proud. I’ll be right there with job of setting up the emotional weight that the worship-based performance. I do believe pom-poms just cheering for them. characters were under. You got so many things people have a gift to perform, and if you keep right on your first movie out of the gate. How’d your heart of worship in the space, then when [WM] In the DVD for Be Lifted High, Jenn talks you do it? you step into a role and you’re performing it’s about taking off her Mom hat and putting on all for the Lord, it’s in worship. And those kids, her worship hat and Bill gently pointing out that some of those kids really have that, they carry the worship hat should never have been taken [Steffany] I think that those kids who played the roles are very beautifully connected that way in their real lives. They’re genuinely aware of what’s going on in their hearts, they process that with their parents and their families, and they’re a healthier breed in that way. It was real enough to them that it’s a little less like acting and more like connecting to what they know to be true. I just feel they were brilliant at it, even at a young age without acting experience. None of them really had any acting experience whatsoever. They had someone come in and coach them and train them, but for the most part they’re just pretty emotionally aware kids, and it’s awesome. [WM] Speaking of the movies, Fathom Events will be presenting a one night showing of “Bright Ones” at 700 theaters around the country on April 22. Noting that Fathom is owned by AMC, that is huge. What is it like to see this happening through this next generation of worshippers at Bethel? [Steffany] It’s huge. I’m just stinking proud. To be honest they’re just brilliant, you should see the stuff those kids write. Their next album, these guys write brilliant stuff and for being so young it’s just so moving. Amanda and I sat down with Josie and listened to one of her songs not too long ago, and we just looked at each other like, “This is stupid, why are we here? This is so good!” We were so moved, we were almost in tears because we were so excited at her melodies and the way she was Steffany Gretzinger April 2019 Subscribe for Free... 45
