God’ s in the House
People today search for ways to avoid church. You will hear so many people come up with so many excuses. I believe that God will meet you where you are, but you have to be willing to let Him in. Meaning, don’ t claim you have God yet live and act however you please. The one quote I hate hearing is“ bedroom Baptist” where people say they pray and live right but just don ' t do church. They say“ Its ok, God understands my situation.” That might all be true but if there is more of God to be experienced, felt, and to be learned why would you not you seek that?
The Bible says in Hebrew 10:24-25“ And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” That is what church is all about, growth and progress in the overall calling in all of our lives. So whether you are a leader or just an attendee, you have to be prepared by God to face the world as a soldier of Christ. We do this by getting into the Word and sharing experiences amongst one another. Armor
So I pray if you are one of those excuse makers as we all have been, get involved, build up your armor and fight for the purpose that you already believe in. I say all this out of love as I have been there at home claiming to be on track and I was not. I have claimed to be ready, but I was not. Knowing who God is and following the basic“ rules” of God, is not the same as strapping on the armor and truly being prepared.
I thank you for reading this and pray that your life will be changed by something you have read here today, and I would love to know that this newsletter can be used in some way. But as much as I strive to make this ministry your online church destination I would never want it to replace your home church and the compassion and companionship of what you can get there. Take these words to heart and talk to God about them. Until next time …
