Compared to my home university IT Tralee is rather small although there are two campuses. Moreover, there are several student associations offering different kinds of sport classes or language courses. Most of them can be joined for free and it is great fun to do sports in a group or team.
To get into close contact with local students was more difficult than getting in contact with exchange students. Although, most are really nice and helpful whenever there are any issues, most Erasmus students stay in their Erasmus groups. However, the possibilities to speak English were given as there were a lot of students from France, Italy, Finland, Sweden, Romania or even Saudi Arabia.
All Erasmus students were really open minded and it was not hard to make friends with them.
I chose six courses in the field of business studies. My subjects were: English, financial management, Irish studies, management practice, project management and international trading environment.
Although all of them were on third or fourth year level, I experienced some repetition to what I have already studied at my home university. However, I thought it was a good idea to revise some subjects and therefore I deepened my knowledge and gained even more experience in these subjects.
