personnel. Often it is ‘a pig in a poke’,
whom you should pay a good (i.e., high)
salary. How to reduce risks and avoid

The most valuable asset
in business is a cohesive
and professional team that
can “take on the world”
and lead the company to
success, but simultaneously
it is also the notorious
“human factor” - potential
source of various problems
(accidentally or, at worst,
deliberately). What to do?
Where possible, foreign
companies introduce
advanced technologies and
automated production and
control systems, reduce
dependence on the human
factor, reducing the staff...
But automating everything
is expensive and it is
impossible to dismiss the
human element.

Personnel certification reduces
risks associated with the human
factor
One of the mechanisms is the
personnel certification. The practice
of certification and assignment of
qualifications to specialists in the
fields, where the risks are very high,
is widely known. For example, to
accountants, financial auditors, risk
managers, management system
auditors, as well as blue-collar
occupations, such as welders, slingers
and others.
If you promised or already pay
a high salary to an employee,
it would be useful to ask, what
certification programs are available
in Kazakhstan to provide them to a
valuable specialist, confirming his/her
competence by passing an independent
evaluation.
Expenses for an employee’s training
and their certification are employer
investments that allow for growing
confidence in the future of your
company and an effective pay out
through more competent personnel who
approach work tasks with a willingness
to respond to problem situations in a
proper and timely manner.

in February 2014 Quality Management
Center and PECB (Canada) signed a
partnership agreement.
PECB (Professional Evaluation and
Certification Board) – is a personnel
certification body which is accredited
by IAS (International Accreditation
Body, USA) in accordance with ISO
17024 – Requirements for personnel
certification bodies. PECB Certification
Programs focus on specialists in the
field of Management Systems, widely
used methods in the field of Risk
Management in whole and in the field
of information security in particular.
PECB Programs include certification
schemes, which consist of an
accredited training course, certification
exam and qualification certificate
issued by the results of the evaluation
of your experience after a successful
examination.
An obstacle to participating in PECB
programs that we have eliminated
was the fact that originally they are
available in English. We consider it
to be an important QMC investment
our contribution to the translation
of training and examination
materials into Russian to make PECB
certification programs available and
useful in the Kazakhstan market.
