There were many peace offering but they are denied every time. By 2007 thousands were dead and two million have been displaced. 2009 the president was charged with war crimes and issued a warrant for his arrest. Because of this man it can be estimated that 5,000 are killed every month. The ICC has taken action to try and stop these deaths as best as they can, firstly by arresting their president.
This is an eye opener that genocide did not start and finish with Adolf Hitler. It is still an ongoing problem and millions have been killed in the past nine years. You can hope for things to change but action is required to stop genocide. Donations, volunteering, these things can be done if you want to help. Many are killed every day for not be in a certain ethnic group…what will you do?
