How the entries were judged
he inaugural World Exhibition
Stand Awards was open to any
stand exhibited between 1st
June, 2016 and 30th September, 2018.
Entries were submitted through
an online portal and could be agency
self-nominated, recommended by the
client exhibitor, or through nominations
received by the event organiser or venue.
Stands were allowed to enter multiple
categories, providing information on
the brief, background, creative solution,
and results, while attaching relevant
supporting material such as video and
images.
The Judges
A panel of independent, expert judges
from the global exhibitions industry
assessed each entry.
No judge was allowed to vote on an
entry or a category where they had a
conflict of interest or association to either
the exhibition, design agency or client.
The judges focused primarily on
marketing effectiveness and awarded
scores accordingly.
The Scoring
In each category there were possible
places for Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver
and Bronze.
Diamond and Platinum accolades
required minimum overall scores, so may
not be awarded in all categories. They are
also unique, so only one is possible in each
category.
Gold, Silver and Bronze also require
minimum scores but multiple instances
are possible in each category.
Categories with too low scores or
an insufficient quality of entries were
withdrawn from this edition of the
Awards. In other categories, not all
possible awards were given, reflecting the
judges’ overall marks for entrants in that
category.
