Are you able to inflate a balloon without blowing? Our students from 4th grade can tell you how to do it because they have done it.
We used an empty plastic bottle, vinegar, bicarbonate and of course… a balloon! You only need to be fast and add the correct amounts of the ingredients. Put a little vinegar and add bicarbonate into the plastic bottle.
Then, instead of a lid, put a balloon on top and see how it inflates.
With this experiment, we saw how the chemical reaction between the elements releases carbon dioxide that makes the balloon inflate.
