OUR APPROACH ACADEMICS
Our approach to education is tailored to the
whole girl – nurturing her social, emotional,
physical and intellectual development – and
is backed by research that girls in single-
gender schools are more academically
engaged and confident. A Crofton House education encourages girls
to embrace their intellectual curiosity. Girls
are encouraged to formulate, share and
challenge ideas while finding their voices as
citizens of the world.
Staff at Crofton House are well versed in the
developmental needs of girls and understand
the importance of fostering risk-taking in
a collaborative and supportive learning
environment. We believe in building a strong
partnership with parents to ensure that the
girls flourish and, through events like our
annual Whole World, Whole Girl speaker
series, we bring experts on various aspects of
girls’ education to discuss key issues with our
community.
The Junior School is an energetic and
nurturing centre for learning for girls up
to Grade 7. The program develops the
whole child by offering an enriched and
challenging curriculum with caring and
enthusiastic teachers. Exciting lessons, field
trips, in-depth projects, the integration of
technology, and a positive partnership with
parents all contribute to the environment of
collaboration, curiosity and choice.
