National 3
The Course is designed for learners who want to learn more about the technological world around them and
become skilled in building digital solutions using a variety of software applications.
Learners will develop and broaden their technological experience through an increasing awareness of
emerging and innovative technologies. They will also develop a range of transferable skills for learning, skills
for life and skills for work, opening up a wide range of study opportunities.
On completing the Course, the learners will have developed skills in problem solving, design, and developing
and implementing solutions.
National 4 and National 5
The Course is designed for learners who have a general interest in computing and information science, as
well as those considering further study or a career in computing and information science and related
disciplines. It provides sufficient breadth, flexibility and choice to meet the needs of all learners.
