Learners will be given an insight into what businesses do to remain competitive, customer-focused and successful. They will also develop an understanding of financial awareness and a basic understanding of the effect of economic influences on daily life. Administration & IT Administration is a growing sector which cuts across the entire economy and offers wide-ranging employment opportunities. Learners will develop:  an awareness of simple administrative tasks  the ability to use basic functions of word processing, spreadsheets and databases  basic skills in using the internet, e-mail, e-diary and presentation applications.  the ability to integrate a limited range of skills to carry out a series of related administrative tasks Information regarding typical learners who might take the course This course prepares learners for everyday life, the world of work, or further study of business by developing many transferrable skills including enterprise, employability, numeracy, ICT and citizenship.
