GLOSSARY OF COURSES

Pupils who entered S1 from 2010/11 will study towards new National Qualifications.
The table below lists the existing National Qualifications and shows how they equate to the new
qualifications:

Individual subjects at Access 1, Access 2, Access 3 and National 4 levels will not require external
assessment and will be judged PASS or FAIL.
Subjects at National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher will be graded A to D.
Your child will choose individual subjects to study at Access 2, Access 3, National 4 and 5, Higher
and Advanced Higher levels.
The courses that your child will be able to study are currently in development.
