Levels National 3 Lifeskills / National 4 / National 5 Course Outline National 3 Lifeskills Learners will acquire and apply mathematical skills across a range of areas including:  Using basic algebra to represent straightforward ideas and to solve simple problems.  Using number skills to solve problems related to real life.  Using measurement, statistics and time.  Learning how to plan and organise. National 4  Using algebra to represent straightforward ideas and solve straightforward problems.  Using relationships in algebra, trigonometry, geometry and statistics to solve problems, analyse data and make predictions.  Use appropriate diagrams to represent data and to make deductions.  Use reasoning skills to solve problems, including those taken from life and work.  Use numerical skills to make informed decisions around the themes of money, time and measurement.
