AREA 14 TEXT
Udgam - Area 14 TExT witnessed record attendance with
Tabler travelling from all of North East to attend the TExT at
the scenic small hills station Mirik. The two night event will
echo in the minds of all the Tabler who attended the event
for the out of the box fellowship and learning they
experienced.
Facilitators Vineet Parik, Prakash Anandani and Rajat Sureka
spell bounded the Tablers with there unique ways of
learning and brain storming. With 40% Tablers being first
timer on the Area and Table Head board, it was the perfect
Udgam moment for all.
To build excitement and make every one feel on the Area
Board pumped up for the new Tabling year, all the 40 Area
convener where introduced in the Area Whatsapp group.
The introduction teaser had basic info about the Tablers
like Business / Interest / Achievements / Family / Contact
details / Birthday & Anniversary. The teaser had a very
positive effect on all the conveners and was highly
appreciated by all.
The facilitators and the TExT conveners circulated some
task for the Table Chairman , the Table Secretary , the Table
Treasurer and the Area Conveners, to help them get to
know there job better.
The task included, them to connect with there previous two
years office bearer and get few responses from them. The
questions included Plan of action, Time management, Co
ordination required, Best Practices, Do’s & Don'ts, how can
the others help in getting the job done. All of them where
asked to do the above home work and get back wit the
answers to the TExT conveners and LAPD conveners.
As Vineet took over he made every one stand up and
change places many times. This was a brilliant exercise as
every one got to know Tablers from other Table. The
exercise was followed many times so that all can meet,
greet and memorise names of other Tablers. All the
participants where divided in a group of 7 and the
importance of team building and travelling for various
events in both Area and Nationals where discussed with
the Tablers. An example of Jungle and Circus was given to
show a Tabler can bloom if he travels regularly for other
events. Lot of exercise where given to the Tablers present
to make them come out of there comfort zone and the
importance of these exercise which they can relate to
Tabling. All the Table Head board members and the Area
conveners where given different sheets which had all
facets of Tabling and Month wise break up, which there
where asked to fill and then all Conveners where given 2
mins each to go to each Table Head board and discuses
there plans and how they can help them in execution of
these plans. Chairman group, Secretary and Treasurer
groups and all the Area Conveners group. This was done
so that a one on one session can be taken by the
Facilitators to make the Tablers know the technicality of
there post.
With TExT ending late, Tablers flooded the Dance floor for
the fellowship which was organised at the open space
looking over the beautiful Mirik lake. A traditional Nepali
folk dance was organised at the beginning of the
fellowship to showcase the local talent. The band played
some soulful numbers to keep everyone's foot tapping till
the early hours of the next morning.
