Is recovery hard?

Yes, if you would ask me my greatest wish and fear, recovery would be both of them. It’s getting rid of something in your life that has been a security blanket. Nor you’re getting rid of it. It’s terrifying. But I’ll tell you what, it’s so worth it. I am actually looking forward to waking up again.

Is there anyone you look up to in helping your recovery?

Everyone who made it, and everyone who didn’t make it, the stories they have make me want to be able to inspire those who go through what I am going through. It also proves that I am not alone.

What quote helps you when you’re feeling down?

“Darlin’ you’ll be okay” “I’m better than I think, smarter than I think, stronger than I believe.” “This too shall pass.”

What do you do to help you when you’re feeling like you might relapse?

I do a lot of things. I run, to release endorphins, I write, I play music, I sing, I cry, I blog, I talk to anyone, it doesn’t have to be about anything, but I talk, and I laugh. I try to make sure I laugh daily.

What is your advice to other people going through the same thing?

You are not alone, no matter how alone, or scared you feel. You are better, prettier, stronger, and smarter than you think. One day you will be a success story. Don’t worry about those that might leave you, hurt you, or forget you. Those that love you might go for some time, but they will always come back, somehow. Don’t ever give up; I won’t give up on you.

Any parting words you might have?

You will get through this. You are beautiful.

You will get through this. You are beautiful.
